Pre-orders grant early access

Dragon Ball FighterZ drops on January 26th, but fans will be able to play at home almost two weeks beforehand via an open beta that was announced earlier today.

This beta will run January 14th-15th, but those who pre order DBF will be able to get in on the action a day earlier than everyone else, (Sunday, January 13th) effectively making for a three day play test experience.

More specifically, things will kick off at 12 a.m. PDT on January 14th (same time on the 13th for pre-order players), and close at 12 a.m. PDT on the 16th.

The UK will gain access at 8 a.m. GMT on the 13th and 14th, and will conclude at 8 a.m. GMT on the 16th. The magic number for start/stop time in Australia is 7 p.m. on the same dates, all according to IGN's posted schedule.

At this point we do not know how much of the game will be accessible during this testing period, though our fingers are tightly crossed that we'll be able to access some of the more recently announced characters such as Goku Black, Hit and Kid Buu.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One upon release. Thanks to kumonphonics, jimk23, kinoslayer and Owlflame for sending this in.
