During Capcom Cup 2017, the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection was announced. In celebration of Street Fighter's 30th anniversary, there will be a collection of Street Fighter games that will be playable.

For a select number of these games, online play will also be available. There probably wouldn't be an online community dedicated to the first Street Fighter, after all.

The games included are Street Fighter, Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition, Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter 2 The New Challengers, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter 3, Street Fighter 3 Second Impact, and Street Fighter 3 Third Strike.

Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter 3 Third strike will have the online features. These include ranked matches, casual matches, lobbies, and leaderboards.

This is the largest Street Fighter collection ever released. It will include all versions of Street Fighter (just the one), Street Fighter 2 with the exception of Final Challengers for the Nintendo Switch, Street Fighter Alpha, and Street Fighter 3.

Whether you're an old school gamer or you missed out on some of these classic titles, this collection certainly looks like it'd be worth picking up. It will be releasing in May 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC.

Additional modes include character bios, a museum mode, and a music player. Included in these features are pieces of art that have never been seen before.

In case you were ever confused about the Street Fighter story and order of events, there is also an interactive timeline included.

While playing offline, there is even the option to incorporate save states in case you are looking for that perfect run. This will also surely help out with unlocking any secret boss fights that might exist (like Akuma in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo).

Up to four players can occupy a lobby at a time for the aforementioned games that have online features. While you wait for your match, feel free to play against a computer opponent for the sake of practice.
