Stylish Venom Glide loops, creative use of traps mid-combo, and more: Desk is back with a new Venom Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite video

A great exhibition showing what the new DLC character can do

Another day, another Desk video.

Yesterday was the official release of Marvel vs. Capcom's newest DLC characters. Venom, Black Widow, and Winter Soldier became available for purchase and with their addition to the playable roster round out the game's first wave of six DLC fighters.

The character fans seemed most excited about was Venom, as he has a history in the Versus series and hasn't been in one of its games since Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Players everywhere have been hitting the lab as the symbiotic savage (myself included), and trying to find the best tech they can come up with.

Coming hot off the heels of his Tekken 7 Geese combo video, Desk has uploaded his solo exhibition for Venom in Marvel Infinite. All of the combos you will see here focus solely on what he can do without a partner.

There are numerous sequences here that push the limitations of the combo system. Desk uses Venom's Venom Glide move to create air loops that not only look stylish, but deal good damage.

Perhaps the most interesting stuff here is the use of Venom's traps mid-combo. This special move places a patch of symbiote on the ground and grabs the opponent when they walk or jump over it (though, it can be blocked).

Despite it's slower start up, Desk has several combos that utilize these traps in creative ways without planting them before the combo begins.
