Given, Mega Man 11 is not a fighting game. Still, Mega Man is an important icon to fighting games and video games in general.

It was no wonder that people really noticed the absence of Mega Man in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and its Ultimate version. Mega Man had disappeared...

Fans went crazy for the Super Smash Bros. trailer that featured Mega Man as its newest playable character. The excitement couldn't be contained when X was first shown for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

Mega Man is a big part of gaming culture. Now that he's back, maybe we can see him in more fighting games in the future.

While Mega Man 9 and 10 had 8-bit graphics, Mega Man 11 has a very updated look. It will be releasing for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in late 2018.

I for one am very excited... Hit the jump to see the trailer.
