Menat announced for Street Fighter 5
5th DLC character revealed for Season 2
During the top 8 of the Hong Kong eSports Festival, a Capcom Pro Tour premier event, Menat was revealed as the 5th DLC character for Season 2 of Street Fighter 5.
Menat was featured in Ed's story mode as The Fortune Teller, and is likely Rose's apprentice.
She will become available to the public on August 29, 2017, this Tuesday, so gamers won't have to wait long to get their hands on the brand new fighter.
Menat seems to be heavily based around her crystal ball, which she uses for a variety of mix ups, combos and attacks. It's also a juggling tool. She even has a dive kick which looks to be effective in baiting throws.
Rounding out some of the other moves showcased in the trailer, she appears to have a slide attack, and a reflect move to deal with projectiles. Her V-Trigger summons six orbs on screen, and they attack the opponent one at a time, plus can be used in conjunction with her crystal ball.
She seems to be a character who primarily focuses on mix ups and stylish play, setting the opponent up for rough scenarios which are difficult to block or counter. You can find her trailer below to watch her in action for yourself.
