Injustice 2 has a 'What are you standing up for?' moment, NuckleDu flexes his Capcom Cup 2017 training and more - Summer Jam day 2 highlights

Day two of Summer Jam Summer Jam XI recently wrapped, but we captured some of the hype moments that happened, in case you missed the action.

The qualifying matches that happened at the end of the day for Injustice 2 and Tekken 7 definitely brought a lot of energy, as players would either survive to fight it out during Sunday's finals, or have to watch from the sidelines.

We start with DF|Grr's Bane vs. PG|Hayatei's Robin. This was a competitive set, and Grr was stocked with a super and waiting for Hayatei to do an unsafe move he could punish.

Once the super landed, Hayatei appeared to have given up, despite Grr's protests that he was still alive. Hayatei even stood up, started to desync his controller and walk away, but he actually managed to survive the sequence, albeit with just a few pixels left of life, facing a character who's extremely difficult to stop when he has you in chip range.

This moment echoed back to Wolfkrone vs. Ricki Ortiz's "What are you standing up for?" segment clear back in the Street Fighter 4 days, although a bit in reverse, as Hayatei prematurely assumed he'd lost.

The next highlight focuses on another top 8 qualifying match between Nashi and VS|Pokchop, where you can clearly hear the hype in the commentary team's voices, and see it first hand as the winner celebrates the outcome.

Our next two highlights focus on the Capcom Cup 2016 champion, Liquid|NuckleDu, who recently said he was putting aside all distractions and focusing on winning Capcom Cup 2017.

After watching these clips, you might see what he's talking about...

We close this out with the Eleague champion, PG|Punk, showcasing some just brilliant whiff punishing tactics.
