Poongko taunts this strong Mika player, but the Mika answers back: This epic Street Fighter 5 set is one you won't want to miss

Posted by Steven 'Dreamking23' Chavez • April 21, 2017 at 9:32 a.m. PDT

Updated: We have been informed that the R. Mika player in this video is not the actual NuckleDu. According to Xuses, this is actually a fake, Japanese account impersonating Du. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Earlier: WuahWuahMan recently uploaded a Street Fighter 5 online set between two very exciting players: Liquid|Nuckle Du and Poongko.

Both players are known for being confident in their play and aren't afraid to taunt their opponents, if the situation calls for it. That's no different in this match up.

Watch as Poongko's Master rank Kolin taunts during a stun, and the Capcom Cup champion's powerful R. Mika answers back with the same. The level of play showcased here is as good as it gets; you won't want to miss this set.

...you know what...I'll play more Kolin. I was actually trying out gief for his eventual change on the 2.1 balance patch. But I gotta get some predictabos on SFV :D

Was that the real Du's account?

Because, I'd find it hard to believe he'd match up with Poongko in Korea...

Unless Poongko is still in the states after NCR, or Du is in Korea.

Anyways, good matches are good matches. Glad Poongko is using Kolin...she's really interesting.

Yeah you really should she's a lot of fun. Countering feels so rewarding.

So, Knuckledu knows how to press taunt now. Let's see if he will still teabag.

Oh hells yeah it does. I just wish she does more military style CQC for her counter animations. Maybe someday we'll get a character that has unique animations for countering specific special moves from the cast.

If you counter a hadoken, it'll be sick if she freezes it in midair and smacks it back at a shoto.

I mean she counters air attacks differently, and that slam is pretty nice. That would be too much if she also countered projectiles too haha. Zangief's new leg grab is the first counter we are getting that is limb based like Tekken.

Loving Poongko's Kolin.
He may be a HungryPoongko but this is Liquid Diet Country and he'll be eating meals through a straw after those matches.

Yes she does, but it'll be pretty sick if you counter Cammy's cannon spike differently than you would with every other attacks.

Yeah that leg counter is kinda dumb since it only works for certain attacks. And completely useless with balrog :P

The BGM helped me to feel again!

Oh ffs, MORE taunting?

Sh!t is so played out at this point. Every week it seems like there's anywhere from 2 to 3 articles highlighting another teabag or another taunt — "check out the way this player presses 6 buttons simultaneously! So disrespectful!"

We get it. You (Pro players) can taunt. Keep it moving.

Looks like they should've played a tie breaking set

That EX AA counter is too sweet. "On your knees!" plus some massive damage. Her phrases during the counters give her some much needed personality.

So many raw V-Skills from Kolin... I know proper spacing can make it hard to punish, but still... O_o

Yeah, but that match up already favors Gief pretty strongly so he doesn't really need anything else there. As far as the leg counter being very situational; yeah it is. But think of how many common and strong pokes in the game are horizontal kicks. Bison, Ken, Cammy, Laura, Karin, Alex just to name a few. I think that situation will come up plenty of times.

while it's true some character's pokes would be the death of them because of the new counter. I feel like his regular Vskill will do the job just fine.

The level of play is as good as it gets?
Clearly no one knows what to do with Kolin's V-trigger yet. Even PoongKo just spams it brainlessly.

You really think the move is dumb? Try playing footsies on a gief getting in.

Gief is going to own Cammy and maybe Karin too now. Both characters rely on standing medium kick so much in that match up.

Kolin is a pretty great character. Still pretty hard to use.
