Two weeks ago, we reported on the upcoming One Piece fighting game developed by ArcSys.

In our story, a few of your comments brought up the extreme similarity to Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden released a year earlier, and it turns out that there's a very good and deliberate reason for this.

Namely, cross-play between the two games. That's right, once One Piece: Dai Kaizoku Colosseum is released on September 21st in Japan, its users will be able to battle against owners of Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden - both locally and online.
You can see the magazine scan which announced this feature, including some screenshots, below.

Of course, this feature isn't just limited to the two main protagonists - you can use any character freely in these cross-play battles. Let the fights of your dreams come true! Got any particular matchups you're itching to play? Let us know in the comments.
