Shaunw takes Juri to the top 16 winners side of a Capcom Pro Tour event; two F.A.N.Gs and even M. Bison in the current Abuget Cup 2016 standings

There is so much tournament action to take in this weekend, and something special is going down at Abuget Cup 2016 -- one of the three Capcom Pro Tour events currently taking place.

As of right now, the top 16 Street Fighter 5 match ups have been decided and will be played tomorrow. Among the competitors, we see a handful of characters that generally don't see appearances this far into a tournament.

Outside of RZR|Xian, F.A.N.G is a character we don't usually see in top 8 or 16 very often in CPT events. However, FV|KoFMaster currently sits on the winners side of the bracket, and FV|Endy on losers, both of which are F.A.N.G mains.

Another character that goes underrepresented in tournament finals is M. Bison, yet CG|Arreyvan has battled to the losers end of top 16 at Abuget Cup 2016. However, the most impressive feat so far comes at the hands of FV|Shaunw and his Juri.

Despite many players feeling as though Juri is near the bottom of the Street Fighter 5 tier list, Shaunw has secured a spot in top 16 winners playing solely as the S.I.N. member.

In his match up against MMS|Sonny, Shaunw showed his ability to adapt and utilize all of Juri's tools to take out the Vega player. Watch as the stored V-Skill comes in handy at the end.

Shaunw continued to showcase his strong Juri throughout the tournament, and in his set against VS|Ultrabram -- who is regarded as one of the strongest players in Indonesia, according to the commentators -- we got a closer look at some effective pressure and set ups using her V-Trigger.

This is one of the first times we've seen Juri in the top standings at a Capcom Pro Tour event, and it's great to see more characters being represented in tournament.

Shaunw's next opponent is HM|Eita, so be sure to stay tuned here at EventHubs for more Abuget Cup 2016 coverage.
