There have been a number of outlets claiming that Street Fighter 5 sold extremely poorly, but according to Capcom's latest investor relations report, it wasn't too far off of their prediction of two million units in this fiscal year.

Today, Capcom reported that Street Fighter 5 had sold 1.4 million copies across the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms — and that these numbers included digital downloads.

"Street Fighter 5 (for PlayStation 4 and PC) remained a perennial favorite and maintained steady sales mainly overseas," Capcom wrote.

"Moreover, sales of catalog titles grew, while digital downloads also became a stable source of revenue from a solid performance thanks to the synergistic effects from package sales," they added.

This number is still roughly 600,000 copies short of their 2 million unit prediction though, and it will be interesting to see how sales of the game progress over time as things like the DLC story mode and additional DLC features are released into the wild.
