Street Fighter 5's input lag is more than four times that of Skullgirls or Mortal Kombat X; this research video from Battle(non)sense is eye opening

Lag... the paradoxical bringer of absolute frustration and wonderful excuses when things don't go your way while gaming. The Street Fighter community has only really been clashing online for the past seven years or so, but we've all become well-acquainted with the salt-inducing effects of lag.


We most commonly talk about netcode and connection speeds when we're discussing game latency, but another very important factor in your fighting game experience is the amount of time it takes for your button input to show up on screen. This is known as input lag.

Battle(non)sense has done quite a bit of research on this, and their findings are quite interesting in regards to the brand new Street Fighter 5. When compared to other popular titles of today like Skullgirls, Mortal Kombat X and even Street Fighter 4, SF5 actually performs the worst when it comes to input lag.
