We know that Juri, Balrog and Urien are on the way to the Street Fighter 5 roster, but we recently found out that these upcoming fighters will be playable in the story mode that's set to come out this month.

In our interview with Capcom at E3, Combofiend let us in on the details of how the development process for these additional characters is going.

We did see a playable version of Balrog last week, but haven't yet caught a single glimpse of Urien or Juri. Given that we're supposed to get the new story mode by the end of June, we asked Fiend just how fleshed out these new fighters are at this point.

"They have attacks and such, but in terms of their final move sets and how they work and all that, they're not complete yet," he revealed.

We don't expect to see final versions of these three fighters just yet, and the prospect of getting to see them at all is exciting for the time being. Combofiend then went on to detail the balancing process for DLC fighters in SF5.

Capcom has done a pretty impressive job of producing a balanced cast thus far, and so we inquired about the company's approach to fine tuning these characters before release.

"[The DLC characters] are being extensively tested in Japan. They're finding things, and determining whether they think they're too strong or not," said Fiend. "I'm also playing with [the DLC characters], there might be some things that I might think are too strong, and then we investigate that."

It seems that Capcom USA is more involved with testing and fine tuning these new fighters after the groundwork has been laid out.

"At the end of the day, when we feel that the character is strong and capable, but not broken or anything like that — then the character is ready for prime time," he concluded.

We eagerly await the multitude of new content on the way for SF5. As stated before we should be getting the new story mode, along with Ibuki, within the next few days.
