NetherRealm announces enhanced online beta for Mortal Kombat X

NetherRealm Studios has officially announced a whole new online experience for Mortal Kombat X.

The new online model is described as a "rollback simulate forward model," and is intended to heavily reduce the latency issues that have plagued the Mortal Kombat X online experience thus far.

NRS will be hosting an online beta for players to participate in, so that they can gain the information they need to make their new net play as optimal as possible.

Sign ups for the closed, public beta will begin Tuesday, January 19th. To qualify you'll need to have logged at least one hour of MKX online play.

The potential here is huge for MKX, as a more functional online component would most certainly draw in and keep more players playing the game. Hit the jump to see the announcement video.
