Ed Boon teases GGPO for Mortal Kombat X; implies a whole new, nearly lagless online experience

When it comes to Mortal Kombat X's online experience, there's really no beating around the bush. The general consensus is that the average amount of lag makes the game widely unplayable.

With Kombat Pack 2 on the way, many have been expressing their excitement for the four new characters that will be joining the cast, but Ed Boon just dropped a bomb on us via his Twitter.

Good Game Peace Out (GGPO) is middleware designed to help create a near-lagless online experience. Boon, in his trademark cryptic fashion, tweeted out a major hint implying that MKX would adopt this approach for its online play.

What's more, NetherRealm's Community Manager, Tyler Lansdown, promised "fun news tomorrow" on his Twitter. We have a feeling we'll get a very special announcement about MKX's future netcode very soon.

Check back for any and all updates on the matter. Thank you to Quinn, MotherBrain, Venom44 and Nightmaresteam for the tips.
