Capcom hinting at Sagat for Street Fighter 5 Season 2? A recent tweet from Capcom Fighters is... interesting

Right now, a group of fighting gamers (including EG|Justin Wong, Marn, and GoldenBoyNeo) are on a getaway in Thailand.

If you peruse any of their personal Twitter accounts, you'll find photos, videos, and messages documenting their trip, which is standard for anyone on vacation. What's peculiar, though is when an official Capcom channel tweets out a picture of their trip with the trademark "reclining Buddha" statue found in Sagat's Street Fighter 2 stage.

The official Capcom Fighters Twitter account shared a photo of the players posing in front of a similar statue with a message that reads: "Preparing for [Season 2] #SFV! Players headed to Thailand to discover the roots of [Street Fighter]."

You can view the tweet, as well as another photo and a video of the statue below.

Though the Capcom Fighters Twitter timeline is filled with retweets and shares of Street Fighter-related content from other users, their own tweets are generally reserved for promoting Street Fighter 5 events, updates, and tech.

If this is indeed a hint at a future Street Fighter 5 Season 2 character, which isn't completely out of the realm of possibility, the statue is a dead ringer for Sagat.

With Season 2's DLC consisting mainly of brand new fighters, it would make sense for Capcom to toss in an extra returning character before 2017 concludes. And considering how much demand there is for Sagat, bringing the Muay Thai king back would be a smart choice.

Perhaps it's just wishful thinking, but above all else this tweet begs the question: when's Sagat?
