Are Street Fighter 5's new rage quitting regulations working? VesperArcade talks about the game's new shame icons, punishments and more

Rage quitting has been a thorn in Street Fighter 5's side since the game officially came out back in February, but Capcom hopes to have finally removed said thorn via their latest patch.

With the update back on the 20th of this month, a new anti-rage quit system was put into place that pings early quitters with a few different penalties.

Repeat offenders are knocked from the servers for a 24 hour period, docked 1,000 League Points and branded with a reaper icon to show anyone else they interact with that they are a rage quitter. Think Scarlet Letter or perhaps Easy A if you're of the younger crowd.

VesperArcade takes a closer look at this new implementation in an attempt to determine if it's something that's actually going to work or not. Right off the bat, Capcom had to perform an emergency fix as players were being hit with penalties without actually quitting.

Even just today, notable commentator UltraDavid ran into issues with this system, so it seems not all is quite right yet.
