When you hear that a bunch of former SNK developers are working on a new fighting game, that's bound to get you excited. The big shocker in this particular case, though, is that the game they're working on, Unholy Night, is being developed for the SNES - set to release on a cartridge, and all.

It was shown off in playable fashion at the Hong Kong Retro Game Expo, and courtesy of WWG, we've got some images from the game.

Unholy Night seems to aesthetically be quite similar to Darkstalkers, with vampire and werewolf-characters included. You can check out some of the roster here.

According to the article at WWG, each character will have eight special moves to exploit, and the game's story revolves around a group of hunters called the "Dark Family" as well as the aforementioned vampires and werewolves. Check out some game images here.
