Rumor - X-Men and Fantastic Four characters are a lock for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite DLC

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite saw it's official reveal over the weekend after a lot of speculation, rumors, and anticipation. Numerous sources reported that the game was real, which obviously turned out to be true, but alongside that rumor was another that said X-Men and Fantastic Four characters would be absent in the crossover fighter due to film rights.

This has not yet been confirmed, and a new development may actually confirm the opposite. According to NeoGAF user Ryce -- who has been known to accurately leak information in the past and recently reported on Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's validity before the actual reveal -- took to the forum to share more information about the upcoming title.

Ryce's post not only states that X-Men and Fantastic Four characters are going to be playable, but says with certainty that they will join Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite as DLC. You can see the post below.

It just wouldn't be Marvel vs. Capcom without X-Men characters, and while we here at EventHubs don't often give rumors the time of day, Ryce's track record makes this particular one hold a bit more weight. That having been said, this information is still just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.

If we do indeed see X-Men and/or Fantastic Four characters in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, who would you like to see make the cut? Sound off in the comments below.
