Capcom has just released information concerning two upcoming Street Fighter 5 updates.

Fans hoping for something new can look forward to August 16th (tomorrow), as Capcom is implementing a new punishment system for rage quitters. The new disciplinary method will involve stricter guidelines, with those who are penalized losing League Points and locking them out of online matching for a set time.

We will be seeing this addition after tomorrow's server maintenance, which will be taking place from 1 p.m. PDT to 7 p.m. PDT. Capcom has noted that the amount of rage quitters has seen a rapid decrease since the initial system was put into place, and that they are currently working on a more robust system to further deal with the issues slated for a release early next year.

As a means to help player earn more Fight Money, Capcom will start holding double FM events. For small intervals of time, players will be given the chance to double FM earnings in ranked matches.

The first Double FM event is set for the weekend of September 2-4th.

According to today's blog, a September update for Street Fighter 5 is also in the works. You can check out what it entails after the jump.
