Ryu's sudden appearance last year in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U took most all of the FGC by surprise, and any time we see a guest appearance with such impact as Ryu's in Smash 4, speculation gears inevitably start turning.

In an interview with StreetPass UK, Capcom's Yoshinori Ono touched on the process and ultimate decision to put Ryu in Nintendo's trademark fighting franchise.

Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has already made it clear that there will be no more additions to Smash 4, but that doesn't mean Street Fighter characters will never face off against the faces of Nintendo again.

Instead of fixating on Smash, Ono says he'd "rather see something like Capcom vs. Nintendo" in the future. Check out the full interview below.
Do you see such an idea as to meld Capcom and Nintendo into a full fighting game a success, or do you see it coming to fruition at all?
