Street Fighter 5's launch roster will comprise of eight classic fighters, four brand new, and four we haven't seen in a while
At the convention, GameSpot managed to catch up with Capcom's Director of Brand Marketing and eSports Matt Dahlgren for a brief interview. The topic of discussion? Street Fighter 5's roster.
Though we were previously aware that Street Fighter 5 would feature four brand new fighters to the Street Fighter universe, we now have confirmation what the rest of the roster will consist of.
According to Dahlgren, we'll be seeing eight classic characters "that you'd expect in a Street Fighter game," and four are characters from previous games that haven't been seen in some time, such as Nash and R. Mika.
Capcom is confident that this roster will be different from its predecessor.
"The end result is really going to be a roster that's unlike Street Fighter 4," Dahlgren said. "It's got its own unique flavor to it. And if your character didn't make it in now, we are going to be revealing post-launch characters."
