We'll be honest, Vega probably hasn't been the most widely discussed of the Street Fighter 5 cast thus far, and as a result he's flown a bit under the radar. That said, recent discoveries with the masked fighter have quickly grabbed our attention, as we've realized sleeping on this classic boss character would be incredibly foolish.

A YouTuber named Wombo Combo has collected footage from London's WSO Sessions, and compiled a video showing off what Vega is capable of in SF5. Having watched it, echos of Claw in Super Turbo ring in our heads.

Vega is capable of some incredible damage if he hits one of his trademark wall dives, and with fewer escape options than in the previous Street Fighter, this could spell top tier for him. Take a quick look at one of these heavy hitters below:

If you'll recall, Vega is no longer hindered by having to hold a charge to perform his moves, meaning he'll be even harder to get the read on. Hit the jump below for the full video.
What do you think of Vega at this point? Do you think Capcom will change him to a charge character? Does he stand out as a front runner in SF5, or are you not all impressed by his combo potential here? Let us know in the comments.
