Recently announced today, Warner Bros. Interactive is upping the ante on its commitment to Mortal Kombat X's competitive scene. Due to the success of the "Blue Steel" Sub-Zero skin, they are making multiple contributions to upcoming events.

First up is the brand new announcement of an additional $50,000 pot bonus to be added to the Mortal Kombat X tournament at Evolution 2015! Following that, they are also doubling the prize pool for the ESL Mortal Kombat X Worldwide Competitive Program.

It's important to note that funding through the "Blue Steel" Sub-Zero skin for events like these, also including Community Effort Orlando, ends on June 29th, so we may yet see these figures and efforts increase!

Do you all think that these pot bonuses will increase interest in Mortal Kombat X? How do you feel this'll affect the competitive scene? Sound off in the comments below!
