Corrin and Bayonetta revealed for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U; Cloud available later today

Update: Bayonetta, synonymous with her home game's title, is joining the battle. Cloud Strife will be available for download later today, along with a collection of brand new Mii Fighter outfits. We have added hi-res images of Cloud in action, along with his official reveal trailer.

Bayonetta was voted the most popular potential character in Europe, fifth most popular in the US and was the most popular world wide.

Brand new Amiibos for Ryu, Roy, R.O.B. Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta are also on the way.

Earlier: We just learned that yet another Fire Emblem character will be joining the world of Super Smash Brothers. Corrin joins the battle, but is not primarily a sword fighter like his fellow Fire Emblem characters.

Corrin can actually change between being male and female, though we understand that this will not affect his game play. Below are images from the Nintendo Direct stream thus far.

Corrin will not bring a new stage to the game, but does come with two new music tracks if you purchase him. We don't have an exact date yet, but developers are aiming to have Corrin and Bayonetta available in February 2016.
