With the latest Street Fighter 5 beta now in full effect, a large portion of the community has had some time to get better acquainted with the ins and outs of the upcoming game.

We've scrounged around for opinions, tech and reactions from some of the Street Fighter communities most notable names, and come up with a good bit of information to share with you.

James Chen offers his Zangief impressions, a character who he is currently very excited about: Chen goes on to say more, and you can see what he, EG|Justin Wong, EG|PR Balrog and PG|Filipino Champ have seen thus far in the beta.

James goes on to continue to give us his feelings on Zangief:

From what we've seen thus far, it feels Zangief may have grown a bit stronger since his initial build. Though he hasn't elaborated as to why, RB|Snake Eyez seems to have warmed up to the character as well.
Justin Wong

Justin Wong has been spending much time playing, testing and investigating the beta. He has discovered a very good use for Sim's anti-air Crush Counter, as seen below.

Anti air crush counter Dhalsim combo! Looks so cool! #sfv

He has also commented on Sim's V-Trigger activation,

"Wow long range normal into V-Trigger with Dhalsim is so good," says Wong. He also offers his thoughts on Zangief, "Sooooo Zangief is actually mad fun and mad good in this beta. The damage is so crazy!"
PR Balrog

Another Evil Genius, PR Balrog, has been spending time with Necalli and Cammy. We find that in V-Trigger, Necalli's crouching medium kick can combo into fierce uppercut from any range that it connects, making it a great buffer in the footsies game.

Filipino Champ

Filipino Champ is one of the seemingly few people who aren't as impressed with Zangief at the moment, tweeting out, "Zangief has no wake up but the EX Running bear grab. Both Lariat and EX SPD lose to meaty anything."

This may be because Champ has been focusing on Dhalsim, a character that traditionally gives Gief a hard time.

FChamp is not especially impressed with Sim's hitboxes, as he's thrown together two quick videos showing the fighter's limbs passing through opponents.
