Red Bull eSports continue their pro player interviews with top Sagat player, Masato “Bonchan” Takahashi.

As evidenced by the banner, Bonchan has undergone some major changes, having to alter his lifestyle to accommodate the demands of playing at such a high level.

When I went to compete abroad, I was always tired. I would compete in the morning and during later matches, and I would be sleepy. This was the turning point for me."

It would actually be Bonchan's training partner, and friend, MCZ|Tokido that would help him turn his career around, enabling him to reach his full potential.

"I’ve spent a lot of time with Tokido the past two years. He has a philosophy to train himself physically to compete well. Naturally, I was inspired by that."

There's plenty more, so hit the jump below to read on.
Tokido would prove a motivator for Bonchan in more ways than one. The Murder Face would confidently proclaim that his skills were greater than Bonchan's, calling attention to the fact that the latter would always go home with silver medals, never gold.

This would remain widely true until The Red Bull Kumite earlier this year, in which Takahashi would finally leave with a first place victory. Not only this, but his opponent in grand finals was none other than Tokido. You can see their set below from Capcom Fighters:
The article continues on as Bonchan explains why is not currently sponsored despite his status as one of the top players in the world. Please head over to Red Bull's eSports page to read the entire interview.
