A major announcement today from Killer Instinct and Microsoft as plans for a community fund project are unveiled to the public.

In an attempt to bolster Killer Instinct tournament play, for a short time KI creators are investing all profits back into the community. Here's a quote from the announcement:

"From the day Cinder launches at the end of April, for a period of 2 weeks, we will be donating 100% of all proceeds from KI to a Fighting Game Community Fund up to $100,000 USD.

This Community Fund will go directly to enhancing tournament prizes for EVO and other Fighting Game Community events in 2015 - 2016. You will be also be able to purchase SHADOW JAGO in a special Community Bundle offer during these 2 weeks for $19.99 USD to ADD to the KI Community Fund."

This is incredibly exciting news for the KI community, and quite an honorable move by the KI creators. You can see the official announcement video by hitting the jump.
Note: Turn your speakers down just a bit as the intro to the video has a somewhat startling, sudden audio clip.
You can see all the official specs over at the Ultra Combo forums.
