Decapre first character in Street Fighter 4 series who can combo into her air throw, Combofiend feels it will open up new style of offense

Decapre will be the first character in the Street Fighter 4 series who can combo into her air throw, outside of crumple Focus Attack setups.

She can begin striking the opponent on the ground, then launch them into the air using an attack and while they're still airborne, jump up and throw them back to the ground.

"I think when people try that out for the first time and see that she can actually combo air throws, it will open up a new style of offense," Peter 'Combofiend' Rosas told Polygon.

Rosas noted that while a lot of people have said that Decapre looks very similar to Cammy, if they try and play her in the same way, they're likely not going to do very well.

"Decapre might be similar in looks to Cammy but, due to her play-style ... people will definitely have to approach using her differently to be effective," said Rosas.

"If they go in thinking they're using Cammy, they're probably going to fail. And if they go in there expecting to fight Cammy, they're probably going to get beat up as well. She's definitely her own entity."

Combofiend also mentioned her overall style revolves around trickery, scoring a knockdown and then mixing the opponent up with her teleports and other moves.

"She's trick-heavy, so she can knock you down and then mix it up," Rosas said. "It's a back and forth, and it's a matter of whether the opponent can react in time. That's the strategy with her."
