A new interview with NetherRealm Studios has hit the web today, and as you may have guessed, it focuses solely on their upcoming next-gen fighter, Mortal Kombat X.

Angry Joe catches up with lead character designer, Steve Beran, to discuss MKX's story mode, roster size, new mechanics and more.

When talking about the new and improved X-Ray attacks, Beran says that fans can expect to see a lot of variation in these cinematic maneuvers. After stating that each character will have more than one X-Ray attack, the NRS representative explains that these special moves are such a big event in-game that they actually feel like their own Fatalities now.

Additionally, the MKX character designer gives a bit more information on the upcoming title's roster size. He says that we'll see nearly the same amount of playable fighters in Mortal Kombat X as we did in Mortal Kombat 9 (around 32 including DLC characters).
