If you're an Xbox Live user and are looking to spice up your fighting game life with a couple of different titles, then look no further. Both King of Fighters 13 and Street Fighter X Tekken are currently 75% off in the Xbox Live Marketplace.

KOF13 is part of the Ultimate Games Sale's daily deal and will only be discounted on July 8th. The digital download will only cost you $7.49 USD (cut down from its usual $29.99 price tag).

Street Fighter X Tekken, however, falls under the Xbox 360 Ultimate Games Sale's weekly deal, and will run you $9.99 USD all the way through July 14th. Both titles can be purchased by Xbox Live Gold and Silver members.

If you've got $20 to spare, you may want to consider adding these games to your library.

tempted to buy KOF13 again since I sold my physical copy a year ago. but are people still playing it online? (and I have the PC version already btw. i'm just looking to have more games for my 360)

Stefanten said on July 7, 2014 at 8:13 p.m.

The netcode for KOF13 on consoles is trash, so don't buy it expecting to play it online.

piscolo said on July 7, 2014 at 8:13 p.m.

Amazing deal for KoF 13 if you don't owe it on steam or don't like to play it on a PC.

RedEther said on July 7, 2014 at 8:19 p.m.

That's a great sale too bad I already own both of these games.

DontTaseMeBro said on July 7, 2014 at 8:22 p.m.

I will never buy a game with Disc Locked Content.

Carnoustie said on July 7, 2014 at 9 p.m.

Ah, a news article about SFxT!

TheTHCGamer said on July 7, 2014 at 9:01 p.m.

I guess you don't own any games this gen and last gen on disc. You definitely don't own any fighting games last gen if that's the case.

NoizyChild said on July 7, 2014 at 9:08 p.m.

No more fighting games for you, then. Stick to PS2.

TheCheeze09 said on July 7, 2014 at 9:10 p.m.

Both games are not worth it even if they are free.
KOF 13 - Netcode is still horrendous even with steam's upgrade over consoles. No one plays it online as well. It has some decent offline content, but it won't keep your interest for more than a month.

SF X Tekken - Game is horrible. Poor system mechanics and boring gameplay. No one cares about the game. You will be bored and wish you never bought it.

HyperViperNZ said on July 7, 2014 at 9:21 p.m.

Damnit. Just purchased KOF13 on XB market 3 days ago.

9DeadlySinns said on July 7, 2014 at 9:22 p.m.

Im really tempted to try KoF13. I would recommend X Tekken to anyone, great game and great system mechanics.
TheCheeze just sounds like a hater to me!!

AugustAPC said on July 7, 2014 at 9:39 p.m.

90% of fighters these days do have some form of disc locked content. Not all of them go to the extremes of SFxT, though.
Others like SF:IV, MK, Injustice and Virtua Fighter have had costumes at the worst.

HyperCombinationFinish said on July 7, 2014 at 9:47 p.m.

It's a shame sfxt got such bad pr. It's actually really fun and the mechanics are really deep. Most people I think just have never played it and aren't willing to try it out due to its bad reputation, dlc issues and early time over problems. I think I might like it a tad more than sf4 actually

Sasuga said on July 7, 2014 at 10:02 p.m.

It's a digital copy so you get to download it all. Isn't that great?!

SqueakyBloom said on July 7, 2014 at 10:26 p.m.

For a while now I've been wanting to get into KoF, especially after seeing a lot of CvS2 and such. So I'm sure to take advantage of this deal for KoF.

NMS84 said on July 7, 2014 at 10:37 p.m.

I've heard that the netcode for KoF is really bad, but haven't tried it myself. Fun game though.

chipndip said on July 7, 2014 at 11:04 p.m.

After SF X TKN, I'm gonna be REALLY careful about the fighters I get into. I don't want my fighters to be dead within a year of me buying them. Not even at Evo anymore. Such a waste of a good concept.

TrueGamingGuru said on July 7, 2014 at 11:21 p.m.

Honestly, SFXT isn't a horrible game (unlike what haters think) but I can't 100% agree its great since the game was rushed not giving the game proper testing, suffered lots of glitches & freezes, part of the system mechanics did suffer due to execution & balance issues. Outside the issues from the games launches & bad decisions from publishers, SFXT is more on the decent side since system/mechanics concept along with how they play are great but still has flaws of its own preventing this game to be one of its best.

The sad part is this game along with MVC3 never gotten Arcade releases unlike TVC & SFIV, SFXT & MVC3 didn't even had anyway where players could have early access (that doesn't involve going to gaming conventions) unlike DOA5 & PSASBR. I do feel like SFXT deserves better treatment than what happen back at 2012 from testing & how the game got released.

Xykes said on July 8, 2014 at 12:14 a.m.

SFxT dlc was extreme because of how cheap it it. $20 for 12 characters. All of y'all WISH that were the norm now.

Instead, $5 PER CHARACTER is the norm now. But, yay, it's "off disc" DLC, tho! Which actually means nothing.

Everyone should have saved their "outrage" card, instead of playing it so early on SFxT.

Anyways, people who don't get both KOF13 and SFxT at this price are fools.

ThaBigDaddyCMaster said on July 8, 2014 at 12:46 a.m.

Steam version of Kof has very solid netcode. Nowhere close to horrendous, all you have to do is add people to play. It still amazes me that people say this while playing Ultra Street Fighter 4 which has god awful crap netcode like Kof console version, and SF4 Steam Integrated too for that matter. The bias is unreal.

Stick with a 3 and 4 bar in Kof Steam Edition and you'll be fine almost always.

AugustAPC said on July 8, 2014 at 12:46 a.m.

Hey look, another person that doesn't understand the definition of "downloadable."

Yawn. I'm not having this discussion again.
Live blissfully in your ignorance.

Razberryclownsac said on July 8, 2014 at 1:01 a.m.

I'm tempted to get Get KoF for that price. I've got it on PS3 and don't play it much, but it is fun. I'll just have to give it some thought.

BK said on July 8, 2014 at 1:04 a.m.

I have mix feelings on SxT. Capcom had the opportunity to make one of the best crossover fighting game in the world and they took a huge dump on it. Almost every time they announced something about it, I just kept losing interest. It could still be a good game if they fix and remove some things.

Wouldn't be surprised if Harada scrapped their version because of that. He's just waiting for the right time to break the bad news IF he even say anything at all.

BushinryuDragon said on July 8, 2014 at 1:14 a.m.

wait....whats Street Fighter X Tekken?...

SephirothDVR said on July 8, 2014 at 1:41 a.m. SFXT is $9.99 but the DLC Chars are still an extra $19.99
You're still paying $30 for the full game.

And that's excluding all the BS gems, which Capcom sweared is vital to how the game is played.

At the very least, put the DLC chars on discount as well!!!!!

KECTULF said on July 8, 2014 at 2:24 a.m.

KOFXIII is only on sale for ONE day not all week.

Dracos_Wrath said on July 8, 2014 at 2:45 a.m.

It wouldn't surprise me if we hear more about TxSF in December.

chaoslimits said on July 8, 2014 at 3:37 a.m.

If your problem with SFxT is Disk DLC, then you've never had to tether a console to your cell phone to download DLC in tournament on crap 3G. You would come to the conclusion that all major DLC assets should always be shipped on disk and patched when it's ready for release; the SFxT DLC on disk was not complete. The final versions are balanced differently.
If your problem is with gems, then you are oblivious to the fact that only standard sets of gems are allowed in tournament (most people only use those online too). Also you didn't give the game enough of a chance to understand how vital gems are.
If your problem is with the DLC cost, then you really need help with math. Also you do not need to buy a single gem. I've bought the game for each console and pc and have not perches a single gem.

The reason the game is dead isn't because it's bad (talk to most top players if you forum/twitch/reddit monsters actually go to events). It's because pot monsters (aforementioned loudmouths) are too busy regurgitating no longer applicable BS than giving the game, commonly described by most of your favorite top players as the best Capcom game this gen, a legit chance. Your loss.

K_ryu said on July 8, 2014 at 3:56 a.m.

SFXT (ver.2013) is a gdlk game (original release unfortunately was pretty bad due to a few crucial flawed mechanics. Granted it was rushed).

SFxT was a great game that rewarded footsies, fundamental play, team health/meter management + more. To bad the game's meta never grew due to terrible feedback from a large part of the community (aka scrubs, sorry but it must be said). Regardless of Capcoms bad decision making/marketing, the final product was IMO awesome. Hopefully, SFxT can make a comeback in the future.

After all, USF4's new mechanic changes are an attempt to recreate SFxT mechanics in SF4 (e.g. DWU = Roll; their answer to set play).

Super_Honda said on July 8, 2014 at 4:17 a.m.

KOF 13 was around $10 last year on PSN so I had an opportunity to download it. Great game, but netcode could've been better though. If people want to play KOF 13 for online play, then Steam version is your best bet.

As for SFxT, it's the best Capcom fighting game of the last generation for me. As mentioned before, all the DLC stuff would be irrelevant at the tournaments anyway (apart from DLC characters). In fact, even to this day, the value of the DLC characters on SFxT is still better than all the other main fighting games to this day.

As for gems, I like the concept since it gives players to explore them in detail. I didn't purchase paid DLC gems at all, but only the characters and costumes at discounted price. Also, Capcom made a game that has gems as part of the game's mechanics and that game is called Marvel Super Heroes. So gems wasn't new at all. If CVS2 was made in this day and age, a lot of people in FGC would've buried that game.

Because SFxT received bad publicity, many fans demanded Capcom to update SSF4 and Capcom responded by releasing USF4. SF4 series is 6 years old now and Capcom knows it won't make them a lot of money nowadays so they would target hardcore gamers since it's guaranteed money. USF4 has stages and 4 of the 5 characters from SFxT as some of the features. Still, many people complain about it: well, some of you have asked for it so you got what you deserved.

Rome_Himself said on July 8, 2014 at 4:27 a.m.

ahh so your one of the people who quit kof early on.let me guess learning curve is too steep?

Gotomaster said on July 8, 2014 at 5 a.m.

Or, Companies could stop bull sh"t us about new content actually being new, and give us actual DLC.

Kidenn said on July 8, 2014 at 6:05 a.m.

What is Capcom waiting for? This game just need a Super or GOTY edition with every DLC available, rebalance, bug fixes, new stages and new characters. Everyone will give it another chance then, I mean you do a crossover between SF and TK yet Devil Jin and Evil Ryu aren't there? You do multiple polls to know which characters are fan favorites but don't put them in any game?

Lordd_G said on July 8, 2014 at 6:33 a.m.

So that means you can still buy the digital version of SFxT, since there's no disc.

JDdelphin said on July 8, 2014 at 6:44 a.m.

Yeah, exactly.
Someone should change the article.
It's part of the daily 'ultimate game sale' week and is on sale July 8th only.

We'll see. Hope you're right. Lol

Xykes said on July 8, 2014 at 9:32 a.m.

I don't give a damn about the definition of "downloadable".

I care about how much I pay versus how much I get, like any intelligent person with mathematical, scientific sense. This is economics at it's most basic level.

You "off-disc" warriors are getting ripped off even more, and you don't even know it. You're paying extra for meaningless words "on-disc" vs "off-disc". You thing there's a difference between the two, but the difference doesn't actually have real world relevance. You're paying extra for your stupidity.

big2033 said on July 8, 2014 at 10:04 a.m.

I don't understand how some people can't imagine that people maybe don't like the game because it's not very good.

People don't stop playing just because of PR. They stop playing because they're not enjoying themselves. This comes from someone who owns the game and gave it EVERY opportunity. The game is missing something. Fun ... something new different... it's just BLAND to me. If you enjoy it, fine, but don't try to say it's because of publicity or people have changed ext ext...

Killer Instinct is doing just fine. Smash Brothers has had a resurgence, Marvel did fine despite Vanilla being a BETA. The game feels lacking at its core ...

Dreamking23 said on July 8, 2014 at 10:16 a.m.

Ahh thanks for pointing that out.

Just edited the story to reflect that.

rc_on said on July 8, 2014 at 11:36 a.m.

I already have both :( Still need to get into KOF, game looks really fun.

danistheman said on July 8, 2014 at 12:36 p.m.

Go pay your five bucks per character in Injustice/almost anything else, while I get 12 characters for 20 DOLLARS. Pure ignorance on your part. If DLC being on disk makes the price lower, then I love it.

maxs2d2ace said on July 8, 2014 at 1:45 p.m.

yea and wait 6 to 12 months for already finish content to be made available to you, for no reason at all but to get more money after the first wave of suckers. unlike unfinished content that's made available when ready. enjoy asking "when are you going to release the characters" when hackers already have it available months in advance.

NoizyChild said on July 8, 2014 at 3:03 p.m.

You're aware that all DLC for fighting games is finished by the time the game ships, right?

Whether it's on disc (SFxT, KOF 13) or off disc (Injustice, MVC3), the content has already been made, finished, and ready to go. The only difference is where it's stored, which determines how much you'll be paying for it.

casper_ said on July 8, 2014 at 4:22 p.m.

ya'll better buy KOF if you haven't yet.

I_Are_RaBBiT said on July 9, 2014 at 3:57 a.m.

Why doesn't PSN get these kinda deals!? Always Xbox live and steam! *goes to a corner to cry*

NoizyChild said on July 9, 2014 at 5:33 a.m.

It's hilarious.

The same people whining about SFxT's on-disc DLC would be whining even more if the 12 characters were off disc.

You're crying about 12 for $20? Let's see how you'd like 12 for $60 if they were off disc.
