Tekken 3 is the second best-selling fighting game of all time, sold 8.3 million copies on Playstation according to Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada

Tekken is one of the biggest fighting game franchises in the world, and if we're talking purely about sales, it's reportedly number one.

Adding another notch to the list of sales accomplishments, Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada noted that Tekken 3 sold 8.3 million copies during its initial release on the original Playstation console. This makes it the second-best selling fighting game of all time, second only to Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

It was also noted by Avoiding the Puddle that out of those 8.3 million units, 1.4 million were sold in Japan.
