The road to Capcom Cup continues on, and tonight we bring to you another interview from one of the event's qualifiers. Eric Moreira Silva, better known as CNB|ChuChu, took the time to talk to us here at EventHubs, and in this interview we discuss his predictions for this Saturday's big tournament, how he feels his characters stack up against the rest, and more.

As you may know, ChuChu secured his spot in the Capcom Cup via the online qualifier events that were held throughout the year. We asked ChuChu how he feels about taking to the big stage, offline, and what he feels it'll be like to face off against some of the most notable players on the scene today.

Below is just the beginning of the interview to get you started, but be sure to hit the jump to read everything.
DreamKing: How do you feel about your competitive performance throughout 2014?

ChuChu: I think 2014 was the year I’d had my best performance as a player. I trained a lot and reached several outcomes that satisfied me.
DreamKing: How do you feel that your character ranks compared to the other characters present in the Capcom Cup?

ChuChu: If we consider the level of the characters in general, I think it’s balanced. I don’t think the characters I play are extremely strong, but they aren’t weak either. So, except for E.Ryu and Yun, I think my characters are even with others present.

DreamKing: Ono will be doing an announcement at Capcom Cup. What do you, personally, hope that Capcom will be revealing?

ChuChu: I hope he’ll reveal a new and competitive game just like SF4 is. Still, I really like this game. I’ve played it for 6 years now and it’s quite repetitive.

DreamKing: Is there anyone you think should have qualified for the Capcom Cup but didn't make the cut?

ChuChu: Sakonoko. It’s weird that he didn’t guarantee a spot since he won the event last year.

DreamKing: Which player are you most worried about playing against at Capcom Cup? Also, who do you think will win the event?

ChuChu: I wouldn’t like to play against NuckleDu. It’s not that I’m more comfortable and more confident about the others, of course not. I just don’t want to face any characters that confuse my defense the whole time.

About who I think will win the event, I hope it’s me. But if it’s not, I believe Daigo has big chances. He’s always been an exceptional player, and now he plays with the strongest character in the game.

DreamKing: You secured your spot in the Capcom Cup through the online qualifier events, and we haven't seen you make too many appearances at major events over the past year. How do you feel about entering the fray with seasoned tournament veterans in an offline setting?

ChuChu: First, I feel very honored. After all, I’m going to play against players that I’ve always admired.
I’m not feeling pressured about Capcom Cup being an offline setting. I’ve been playing tournaments for 7 years; so, despite [that] I still get nervous every time. I don’t think I’ll be in disadvantage but on the contrary.
If I didn’t have too many appearances in major events, it’s because I didn’t have the opportunity to go. Then, my only choice was to try the online series.

DreamKing: You are known for playing Sakura, C. Viper, and Chun-Li in USF4. Of those three fighters, who do you feel is the strongest, and which do you think you'll be using most throughout the event?

ChuChu: Considering the level of the characters, I believe C. Viper is a little above the others I play. Yet, my strongest character still is Sakura, and I’m probably going to use her most.

DreamKing: Capcom Cup is pitting 16 of the year's best players against one another in a fight to the finish. Needless to say, it's quite the accomplishment to be qualified. Do you feel this major event will be your gateway into the offline tournament scene, and do you think you'll be traveling outside of your region more as a result?

ChuChu: Yes. I think it can be a gateway for me, but only if I get somehow highlighted in the tournament. It won’t change anything to have the spot and don’t win any round there.

Big thanks to ChuChu for taking the time to speak to us here at EventHubs.
