Well, we all knew it was only a matter of time...

If you haven't been living under a rock for the past year, chances are you've heard of an app called Flappy Bird. It's a game that puts you in the driver's seat, and lets you control a small, round bird with the touch of the screen. The goal is to navigate through obstacles formed of green pipes from the Super Mario Bros. series, and try to get the highest score. (I'm not making this up.)

Now, a new, free app has hit the market, only this time it is Street Fighter 2 themed. "Street Flapper" mixes classic sounds, sprites, and backgrounds from SF2 with the foundation of Flappy Bird.

Although this may look like a lawsuit waiting to happen, the iTunes description states that there is absolutely no monetization or advertising going on here, and that Street Flapper is just a silly, fan-made project for people to enjoy. The description goes on to say that if Capcom requests the app be removed, it will be taken down.
