During tonight's episode of IPlayWinner's The Fray!, EVO tournament series co-founder Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cuellar stopped by to make an announcement about this year's event.

When the official EVO 2014 lineup was first revealed, many Tekken fans, (including Mad Catz' own Mark "MarkMan" Julio), were fairly disappointed to see that the 3D fighter would not be making an appearance as a main game. However, after tonight's announcement, it has been confirmed that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will indeed be featured as a main game, joining the likes of Ultra Street Fighter 4, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Killer Instinct, and more.

Additionally, Namco Bandai Games, the company which develops the Tekken franchise, is stepping in as a primary sponsor for EVO 2014. The decision to get Tekken back to EVO, and get Namco themselves as a sponsor was heavily due to the efforts of MarkMan, Bronson Tran, and the Tekken community.
