Luffy discusses best players by region, Rose changes he'd like to see, why he chose the character, Shadowloo Showdown 2013 and more WDM|Luffy, quite possible the best Rose player in the world, recently won the Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition v2012 tournament at the Shadowloo Showdown 2013 qualifier event that took place in Amsterdam.

MajinTenshinhan of EventHubs, who is currently writing this very article, got some interview time with the champion, and discussed a variety of topics with WDM|Luffy, such as expectations for Shadowloo Showdown, and what players he considers to be the best in each region. Below, you'll find the first two questions of the interview to get you started.
MajinTenshinhan: How long have you been playing fighting games?

WDM|Luffy: I've been playing fighting games for 5 years now, since the release of Street Fighter 4.

M: You are largely seen as the best Rose player in the world. For how long have you been playing her, and why have you chosen her, specifically?

L: I've been playing Rose since I started playing the game. I chose Rose right away because of the size of her breasts and her costume colors, pink and blue are my favorite.
Hit the jump to check out the rest of the interview, where WDM|Luffy touches upon what opponents he hopes to, as well as hopes not to, run into at Shadowloo Showdown 2013, what changes he wants to see to Rose in Ultra Street Fighter 4, and what players he believes to be the best in each region.
M: What kind of changes would you like to see to Rose in Ultra Street Fighter 4? And, are there any other characters you think you'll be picking up in the new version?

L: I would like to see a better use for Soul Reflect, because its use right now is very minimal. Also, for her crouching medium punch to connect into regular Soul Spiral from any range.

I won't be playing any other characters seriously, maybe to try and learn about what they can do, but since Rose is being buffed, why would I switch?

M: Are there any other fighting games you play on a competitive level? If not, are there any you'd like to start with?

L: I also play King of Fighters 13 at a competitive level ever since it was released for consoles. I'm playing it online on Steam now, it's amazing!

M: I realize this is a very hard question, but if you had to choose one best player from Europe, one from America, and one from Asia, what three players would you consider to currently be the best in Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition v2012?

L: One is difficult, so I'm going to put two.

From Europe: Luffy and Ryan Hart.

From America: Snake Eyez and PR Balrog.

From Asia: Infiltration and Fuudo.

M: What do you think about your chances at Shadowloo Showdown 2013? Is there any particular player you hope to avoid running into in the brackets?

L: My chances of winning will depend mostly on the bracket, as long as they don't give me 5 Seths in a row, maybe I can go far!

I want to avoid Sako, Uryo, Tokido, GamerBee the most. I would like to face Xian, Infiltration, Daigo, Fuudo and Snake Eyes. (Not because I'm confident, but because I want to face them.)
