New Mortal Kombat title possibly in development - MK Legacy producer: We want to release the movie along side the game they're working on now GamerHubStudios recently conducted an interview with Warner Bros. producer of the Mortal Kombat Legacy series, Lance Sloane, to discuss the upcoming Mortal Kombat feature film. During the interview, Sloane let a small but very juicy bit of information out stating that a new MK title may currently be in development.

Sloane says that the team is currently analyzing many factors for the movie and mentions that they are looking to release the movie alongside the "game they're (presumably NetherRealm Studios) is working on now."

Check out the quote below.

GamerHub.TV: What is the current status when it comes to a Mortal Kombat movie?

Lance Sloane: Well, we’ve been in greenlight committee for a while at the studio. We’ve got a great script. And we’ve got a great director with Kevin Tancharoen. Who is on board. It’s just figuring out the business side of it and when we would do it and when we would launch it and how do we sync up with the launch of the game they’re working on now. It’s not 100% yet, but we’re getting closer every day.

Back in 1995, the original Mortal Kombat movie and Mortal Kombat 3 were released around the same time, to coincide with one another. It is possible that Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios may be aiming to do the same with these future projects.
