A couple of months ago, Arc System Works announced that a brand new installment in the Guilty Gear series is currently in the works. The new game, entitled Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, will be the first in the franchise to use full on 3D models as opposed to animated sprites.

There hasn't been much divulged about the upcoming 2.5D fighter but if you're looking to try it out for yourself, Arc System Works will begin location testing the game early next month. On August 9, players in the Tokyo area can try the game out over at the Sega Akihabara Building 1.

The arcade cabinets of the game can be found on the fourth floor of the building. The game will be playable from 10 a.m. through midnight each day.

Daisuke Ishiwatari, general director of the Guilty Gear series, is expected to be in attendance on the first day of location testing. Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- will be playable from August 9 - 12.
