Chief Thunder likely to be revealed for Killer Instinct at GamesCom, game will feature a 'very in-depth' practice mode Microsoft Studios Ken Lobb was on hand to demo the new Killer Instinct at San Diego Comic-Con, and he said that they plan on revealing their next character at GamesCom and PAX, which will likely be Chief Thunder, who was teased earlier.

These events are scheduled for August 21-25 and August 30-Sept. 2, 2013 respectively, and Lobb noted that they'll also be teasing another character at that time.

This is a roster release strategy which will continue up until launch, with the next major reveal happening at the Tokyo Game Show, where another person will also be teased. TGS runs from Sept. 19-22, 2013.

Heading into the gameplay aspects, Lobb said they purposefully tried to make Glacius a zoning fighter, as when he throws the opponent, he puts them on the other side of the screen. He also said that Sabrewulf is meant to be a beginner's character, and that the new KI will have a very in-depth practice mode.

Also, an exact pricing structure will be revealed as GamesCom for Killer Instinct on the Xbox One, as it's something they haven't fully covered at this time. To watch the stage demo from SDCC, hit the jump.
