So MK9 is there? But not DOA5U? Dafuq? As much of a fan i am of MK9, this is bulls*** lol. *Sigh*, if only ppl gave it a chance :(

Focusflute said on December 28, 2013 at 5:35 p.m.

Where the F*** is KILLER INSTINCT?????

One of the most hype fighting games to watch and play. Seriously tired of TO's not supporting a game that they knew about for over 6+ months.

Let's all just watch the same old UMvC3 and SSF4 until we die. I like watching those games but come on already!

OverlordJC said on December 28, 2013 at 7:03 p.m.

None of the players mentioned make me want to watch Marvel at this tourney. I'm excited to see the GG play, though!

casper_ said on December 28, 2013 at 7:19 p.m.

from what i know about this event its focus is on arcsys games (specifically GG) and they just kinda wound up running the bigger capcom games etc. so i would get all offended if your favorite game isnt there.

xZOMBIEx said on December 28, 2013 at 7:33 p.m.

Maybe because not a whole lot of TO's have XB1's laying around? Plus if they did have KI they probably would need more than one set up with how many people that would enter it. So it might be awhile until KI is at tournaments that have a lot of entrants.

Also I'm sure not a whole lot of people are willing to bring in their XB1 to allow people to use it at a tournament like they would their 360 or PS3. If I had an XB1 I know I wouldn't bring it or loan it out to be used at a tournament. My 360 or PS3, sure, but not an XB1 or PS4 right away. Those consoles cost way to much to take a chance on people possibly abusing it or the controllers because not everyone has a stick compatible for those consoles and most people still don't have one so they would have to use your controllers and or stick if you had one...

Game Pazzo is in Downer's Grove, not Chicago.

DevilMaySpy said on December 29, 2013 at 11:50 a.m.

Injustice Top 8 was amazing. It's a shame that there's no dedicated stream for pools. If people are willing to do it out of their own pocket, with their own 4G card(GGA), I see no reason to disallow it.

SoftShocks said on December 29, 2013 at 2:22 p.m.

I agree with devilmayspy. Injustice is definitly getting more hype. Big shoutouts to Wound and his Sinestro.

Vone said on December 29, 2013 at 3:52 p.m.

Who on earth is going to buy an Xbone just for ONE fighting game that isn't even an entirely complete package at the moment? If you want to play Injustice, Persona, SF, Marvel, etc. you can get either a 360 or PS3. The number of people that have a 360 or PS3 probably beats out the number of people that have an Xbone. So yeah not only is Killer Instinct Xbone exclusive there also is not a SINGLE other fighter for the console. Uh yeah if the Xbone was backwards compatible with 360 games or it had other fighters then okay. But it doesn't. Just Killer Instinct.

Sanox said on December 29, 2013 at 4:42 p.m.

Shinsyn maybe overreacted a bit but thats what needs to be done if you do not want collusion

AugustAPC said on December 29, 2013 at 4:45 p.m.

I don't think it was an overreaction at all. He put his own money to bolster the pot of a tourney he worked hard to organize.
When people collude, it may not seem like a big deal to the ones doing it, but to someone who has so much invested into the tournament, it definitely is.
Dude got disrespected so he took his money and gave it to someone who he felt deserved it.

TO said he had put out many warnings prior to the tournament that collusion would not be tolerated. Despite this, they still decided to go ahead and do it. It's their own dumb fault.

Sanox said on December 29, 2013 at 4:52 p.m.

what he did was the right thing but the 5 minute pop off was not needed

AugustAPC said on December 29, 2013 at 4:57 p.m.

You mean where he was yelling at them when they were doing the Izayoi mirror or afterward when he awarded the money to the 3rd place player?

Sanox said on December 29, 2013 at 5:06 p.m.

when he kept on ranting about it when they actually played with plat and carl.

perfectly fine to shout at them when they started that izayoi match but no need to keep on going after they switched. should have just let lunakage commentate alone

AugustAPC said on December 29, 2013 at 5:09 p.m.

I think I went to the bathroom during that, lol. Lost interest in the grand finals when they were so blatantly not trying.

I can understand someone being pissed, though, when you work so hard at something and explicitly warn players not to do something and it happens anyway.

Baby_Astaroth said on December 29, 2013 at 6:18 p.m.

So MK9 wasn't streamed?

Tekken and Injustice were hype.

Enter4none said on December 29, 2013 at 7:04 p.m.

Agreed ~ did left the stream to buy some munchies once the brotherly collusion killed ALL the hype from the BBCP tourney.

Shinsyn might've gone for long for many of us, but dude put too much of his time and effort, and that stress has a weight too.

@Sanox: it doesn't matter if they went back to pick their mains and "play seriously" because they weren't, they were just going through the motions to save face/money pot.

DevilMaySpy said on December 29, 2013 at 7:55 p.m.

I did not see MK 9 in the archives, but Perfect Legend won, and Injustice was definitely hype. Amen brother.

Dodoria said on December 29, 2013 at 7:59 p.m.

all different characters at top8 AE, nice :)

JIHADJOE said on December 29, 2013 at 8:04 p.m.

Even if they switched to their mains collusion still happened. IMO Shinsyn was totally justified. Players need to be taught that they can't just shrug, say sorry and laugh it off.

DJKNOCKOUT308 said on December 29, 2013 at 8:47 p.m.

Shoutout to 3rd place in BBCP Got 500$ for that collusion lol Those brothers are tight lol.

Madenka said on December 29, 2013 at 9:09 p.m.

Don't understand, if Shinsyn was that upset couldn't he just dq them? Or was he not the one in charge?

AugustAPC said on December 29, 2013 at 9:36 p.m.

They still fought their way up there. A DQ would have been kinda complicated, I think. Two brothers made a stupid decision and they payed for it. It was an in the moment, yet justified, decision, there's no reason to look any further than that.

iMTopTier said on December 29, 2013 at 11:40 p.m.

NeoKarsh and Danke are really good

OMG Itz Andre well you know about dropping combos and the rest idk about them

sarvets said on December 30, 2013 at 1:38 a.m.

Just got back from this tourney and it was all that and then some! to whoever was wondering KI was there it just didnt get streamed, also the bracket wasnt very large so Im guessing they just left the stream for other games. Doa5u was also there!

it had its own special room haha...I walked in because i was curious because it looked like a VIP room or something so I looked and kind of laughed like "oh shat its DOA5U in in its own room!"

venue was really good for a tournament and the mystery games were mad fun to watch. they ran nba jam saturday night which was alot of fun to watch in middle of all the crazyness.

mad props to elven shadow for 5-0 his opponents during the team battle.Ive never seen such high level play at gg in person before it was very intense and crazy fun to watch. please watch top 8 for ggear. EVERYONE was rippin. the pazzo family was pleased

Capcom_Warrior said on December 30, 2013 at 6:53 a.m.

Congrats to German Luger on that win with Vega. Not an easy accomplishment with that character.
