John Choi talks cost of running NorCal Regionals tournament, how much revenue was earned Fighting game community veteran, John Choi, recently shared what the expenses for this year's NorCal Regionals tournament looked like, along with the revenue they pulled in.

There has been a good amount of controversy surrounding how much tournament organizers in our community make, but Choi recently took to Twitter and offered a detailed rundown of his venue expenses for this year's event.

Below you'll find the venue invoice for NorCal Regionals 2013, which was hosted at The Domain Hotel, in Sunnyvale, CA.

Keep in mind, these are just the venue fees, and things like consoles, monitors, surge protectors and more are not being accounted for in the images above, although Choi later elaborated on what his other expenses were as well.

Hit the jump to see his Twitter posts on the subject, which include a statement on how much revenue they pulled in for NCR 2013.

Responding to a Tweet that was originally made in jest, Choi went on to state that his team grossed about $22,000 USD in revenue for NCR 2013.

While every tournament has a different financial situation, these statements fall in line with what East Coast Throwdown's organizer, John "SweetJohnnyCage" Gallagher, had to say in late June.
