I don't know if I'm blind or something but are they actually not streaming KoF until Top 4?

T3rror said on May 5, 2012 at 8:49 a.m.

#2 That is what it looks like from reading. Same goes for SC5 and SFxT. Looks AE and Marvel are mostly on spooky stream like always and MK has its own stream. What surprising to me is that SFxT is only top 4. Seeing as that is the new capcom title I thought there would be pool play of that on spooky stream also.

By the way anyone know when Medina's stream will go live?

dennishubs said on May 5, 2012 at 9:09 a.m.

damn i wanted to watch kof13

gtfopanda said on May 5, 2012 at 9:51 a.m.

Sucks for KOF, it's damn entertaining.

Cannot say the same for SFxT though, last 20 secs always turn into a runaway fest. SF4 still crushes it, today's Shadowloo matches were amazing.

caruga said on May 5, 2012 at 10:36 a.m.

Hope these don't overlap with Shadowloo Showdown.

Not gonna lie, my love for AE has sparked once again after all the new games.

wiggaplz said on May 5, 2012 at 1:11 p.m.

Yes, SF4 is damn awesome, after all these new dissapointing games. I was well entertained watching SS this morning since I fell asleep watching it(stream monstering since thursday too strong).

WinstonChurchill said on May 5, 2012 at 1:33 p.m.

Oh Yipes. Mistake to underestimate Mr Infiltration

SFinDaejeon said on May 5, 2012 at 1:43 p.m.

After watchin SS all day, I went to the pub to get drunk and watch the FA Cup Final.

Anyway, I gets home at 5am(ish) and despite a day of unbelievable matchups (not the FA Cup) tuning in to this on the off chance I see Dieminion V Infiltration.

GDLK matchup. Good sh1t!

Kelshou said on May 6, 2012 at 3:32 p.m.

Did they forget that Infiltration bodied Pr Rog not so long ago (NCR)?!

shin_ono said on May 6, 2012 at 4:55 p.m.

wow its an Akuma weekend :D

Asurah said on May 6, 2012 at 4:55 p.m.

Great tourney - Infiltration's Ryu is just amazing to watch, very deliberately quirky and "different" stylistically than a lot of the other Ryu's you see.

He came back from losers to take out PR Rog 6-0 (although he used Akuma in this match, Ryu was to beat Ricky).

Good stuff.

L said on May 6, 2012 at 6:16 p.m.

No battle logs? =[

caruga said on May 6, 2012 at 7:19 p.m.

PR Rog let his manners slip at the end of the AE grand finals. He shouldn't feel too bad getting second place, at least I wouldn't...

okay said on May 6, 2012 at 7:43 p.m.

That's how PR Log normally is when he loses. Sometimes he is also like that when he wins.

LK said on May 6, 2012 at 8:10 p.m.

Infiltration's got that GDLK focus absorb dash forward reaction/preemptive action. He used that tactic a lot against Daigo during the LG Cup, but ultimately the Beast was too much for him.

LK said on May 6, 2012 at 8:15 p.m.

Yo man, PR (R)Log acting like a salty jackass once again. I wasn't surprised, rumor goes that he's like that all the time. But the look on BananaKen's face when he saw PR (R)Log's salt infested behavior, that look just cries out disapproval and embarrassment and whole lot of worries.

sprflyspdrguy said on May 6, 2012 at 9:01 p.m.

I hope someone captured all that salt on video!

EnsignHiro said on May 6, 2012 at 9:19 p.m.

congrats to infiltration! once again just proving USA is really good at SF but most certainly NOT THE best. Hope this is all archived id love to see how infiltration used all those characters and won.

hentailogic1 said on May 6, 2012 at 11:30 p.m.

Oh look it's Bon-chan's #1 fan I'm surprised you're giving Infiltration so much credit

gammabolt17 said on May 7, 2012 at 1:23 a.m.

I can't even front; I've felt that kind of salt before. Obviously not on that same level, but Infiltration WENT IN tonight. Those ass kickings he dished out last (against ROG and comeback on Combofiend) seemed devastating. He made great players look like jobbers. You're going to get mad at that every time. As a player, how can you NOT be mad at being dominated like that? I doubt Rog holds any ill will towards Inf; he probably was more upset with himself.

sadiputs said on May 7, 2012 at 3:10 a.m.

Agree, if a player got beat up like that and walk away happy with himself I am sure as hell that is not a top player. PR rog anger is justified.

Kelshou said on May 7, 2012 at 4:03 a.m.

PR Balrog has always been an idiot! Super arrogant when he wins...super salty when he loses. What a pr*ck!

shinwar said on May 7, 2012 at 4:20 a.m.

i mean not for nothing infiltration was spamming the demon flips into grabs 3x in a row but a win is a win i can see the reason fro PR Log's saltyness probably shouldn't had showed it on the stream.

mad4ra said on May 7, 2012 at 4:47 a.m.

That was not brainless Demon flip grab spamming, pr rog was scared because infiltration read him like a book. Great Tournament, and great weekend for akuma :-) i see even more nerfs coming...

mad4ra said on May 7, 2012 at 4:50 a.m.

Also props to combofiend for showing a great Oni!

Temtt said on May 7, 2012 at 6:05 a.m.

These commentators need to do their homework! They didn't know that Infiltartion plays Ryu? Did they forget that Infiltration beat Ricky Ortiz using Ryu last year @ NCR?
They also forgot that Infiltration beat Pr Rog with Gouken this year @ NCR.

Anyway, Infiltration completely destroyed Pr Rog!!

Infiltration also bodied PR Rog with Gouken @ NCR:

He's just a better player! Simple as that!

Asurah said on May 7, 2012 at 6:48 a.m.

@41 I noticed that as well, Infiltration didn't just beat him once but twice (2-0 in both sets) using his Ryu at NCR - so this performance marks the third time he's shut Ricky's Rufus down in tournament using that character.
Pretty intelligent choice considering Ricky has a track record of being able to deal with his Akuma pretty well.

@38 The reason Infiltration was able to get away with so many consecutive DF throws is because his palm breaks armor (shutting down EX rush punches on wakeup, and it's fast/safe enough to not get caught by a headbutt) and if he OS's a sweep/demon in to it Rog can literally do nothing but just block on wakeup (backdashing gets him swept or demon'd). So the throws were essentially just smart reads by Infiltration recognizing PR wouldn't risk making crazy defensive measures and would instead just opt to block 3-4 times in a row.

That's just one of the many quirks of that particular match-up.

I'm not going to pass judgment on PR for seeming upset and initially refusing to shake Infil's hand, I can understand the emotions taking place in such a high level tournament especially when you get destroyed 6-0 when you're coming from Winners side - the important thing is that he *was* a good sport and went ahead with the handshake despite being rattled and upset.

WinstonChurchill said on May 7, 2012 at 7:11 a.m.

Please stop crediting pr rog for Rockets Raccoon tech.

Infiltration is so sick. This was a momentous weekend for all us Gouki players :D

shinwar said on May 7, 2012 at 7:26 a.m.

@39, @41 @42

I know just saying i can see why he was frustrated cuz he was read like a book.

tequilasauer said on May 7, 2012 at 11:03 a.m.

Infiltration's Akuma is so good. And UMVC3 was sick AS ALWAYS. I love watching that game, and there's so many killers out there now. EVO is going to be ridiculous this year.

On a side note, Mike Ross and Combofiend's commentary on SFxT is probably the most enjoyable I've ever found that game to watch. Those two are hilarious together. Major props.

Smorgasboard said on May 7, 2012 at 11:05 a.m.

Wow, Viscant getting second just when I thought the game has advanced beyond him. Still not the favourite for Evo but maybe top 8.

Mike Ross getting 8th in Marvel. Lol!

Infiltration, Combofiend and Bananaken all did well. Congrats.

DR_Jam said on May 7, 2012 at 1:56 p.m.

Congrats to Noel, but Mr. Curly Mustache himself, did put on such a show, wow! And that trolling smile Viscant had on his face after beating PR Balrog, AGAIN, made my date before going to work lol.
