Quick Marvel vs. Capcom 3 patch details, Street Fighter 3 fans will 'wet themselves' Capcom vice president, Christian Svensson, and special adviser, Seth Killian, hosted a live question and answer session via the Unity website. They talked about a number of subjects related to their fighting games, among other things.

Some minor details were offered on Marvel vs. Capcom 3's upcoming patch, stating that it will contain an Event Mode. Also, both guys were very hyped up about what Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition would offer to fans of the game. There wasn't much in the way of detailed information, but a few more pieces to the puzzle were talked about.

You can find a full archive of their video session, including a transcript of the notable details below.
• Event Mode will be patched into Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on March 22, and probably available on March 25. Seth said it's a series of special challenges and it's a relatively exciting update, which also has something to do with the titles that haven't been unlocked, yet.

• Seth said there is some god-like stuff in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 that the quality assurance team has discovered that people in the community don't know about yet, but on the other end, the community has already found out things that the QA department didn't figure out.

• New information about Street Fighter 3 Third Strike is coming "very soon." Svensson said that Third Strike fans are going to "wet themselves," when they find out what's in store for them, Killian added it's, "an amazing product." Svensson mentioned that with their digital titles, they start talking about them a lot about 4-6 months before they're released.

• Seth and Svensson said there were some surprises for them on the Marvel end of things in the DLC character polls that recently went around. The Capcom side — pretty much — was what they expected it to be.

• Seth said "have faith" when it comes to SSF4 Arcade Edition news. [Editor's note: An announcement is expected to happen at Captivate in April.]

• The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 DLC codes for the PlayStation 3 version are region specific, but the Xbox 360 are more than likely not.

• From what Christian Svensson has heard, there have been less than two dozen DLC codes for the Xbox 360 version of MvC3 that didn't work, for the most part it was user error or other mistakes, very rarely a completely invalid code.

• Most of Capcom Japan is located in Osaka, which has largely been unaffected by the earthquake/tsunami. As far as Svensson knows, their staff and family members are OK, although the Tokyo office has been temporarily closed, but should be open again soon.
