Tatsunoko vs. Capcom released on the Wii in Japan Tatsunoko vs. Capcom has been officially released on the Wii and you can buy it from Play-Asia.com for 69.90 USD. If you're not too familiar with the game, you can check out the Wii Intro Trailer here.

This is the Japanese release, and it is region locked for players in other countries, so if you wish to play it on a non-Japanese Wii system, you'll have to bypass the region lock.

There are several ways to do this, so if you really want to play the game, you should be able to find a way.

That said, it's still unclear if Capcom will be able to bring this title to other countries in the future. Considering the Tatsunoko characters fly way under the radar for most of the English speaking audience, it doesn't seem like it would make sense to bring the game over to other counties as is.

But if there was ever a spiritual sequel to Marvel vs. Capcom 2 — this is it. What seems more likely to me is that Capcom would remove/rework the Tatsunoko characters and replace them with people from more popular franchises.

Doing this may or may not be something they're willing to do, but they have stated several times they're looking at ways of getting Tatsunoko vs. Capcom out there to more players.

As always, if anything like this were to happen, we'd cover it here.
