Ken Street Fighter 6 moves list, strategy guide, combos and character overview

Overview

Ken was first confirmed to be a playable character in Street Fighter 6 on September 15, 2022. He was revealed alongside Dhalsim, E. Honda, and Blanka in a full gameplay trailer at Tokyo Game Show 2022.

He made his first appearance on August 12, 1987 in the very first Street Fighter arcade game. Being one of fighting game's most iconic characters, Ken has been playable in every main Street Fighter title that has ever been released.

In this installment of the Street Fighter series, Ken has seen yet another update to his visual design. He wears his hair down and shaggy, rocks a large coat with a black undershirt, red sweat pants, and brown boots.

Though people originally speculated that Ken's new look came from a rough patch in his marriage, his actual story isn't quite as bleak. The former US National Fighting Champ and ex-VP of the Masters Foundation finds himself with accusations of masterminding a criminal plot hurled onto him, and as a result has been forced into hiding in Street Fighter 6.

Ken's move list in Street Fighter 6 should be familiar to anyone who has played as him in past games. His Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku (Hurricane Kick) are all back and remain true to form.

Back in Street Fighter 5, Ken's V-Skills were made up of a command run and a leaping kick giving him great offensive tools to mount and maintain pressure. In Street Fighter 6, however, these two maneuvers act as special moves in his standard arsenal, meaning Ken players will be able to access them whenever they want to.

Also added to Ken's repertoire is his Jinrai Kick, also known as "Crazy Kicks." First introduced back in the Street Fighter 2 series, this attack sees Ken fire off a forward-moving roundhouse that can be followed up with different options that will hit in various ways to keep the opponent guessing.
