VideoGamer.com: On your site you say you don't have a PS3. From what you've seen of the reaction to the PS3 version and its netcode, are you seeing any differences in terms of how the netcode is performing?
DS: I actually wouldn't expect it to be the same because the way Sony servers work and Microsoft servers work are different. When you and I play each other and one of us drops or something, we might each report to the server that we won, so the server might say, 'well what's going on here, they're both saying they've won?'.
So there's a whole bunch of different data you might look at to think, well one side is probably lying. Microsoft has what's called arbitration servers that do exactly that. They look at a whole range of factors about that drop and then they send back their advice and say, 'well we really think it was this guy that disconnected, this other guy was probably OK'. And so that's how we award wins and losses appropriately.

It is with great pleasure to announce that Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix has sold over 250,000 units year to date. HD Remix has shattered both day one and week one sales records and will most likely break 30 day sales records as well. It's on its way to becoming the highest grossing digital title ever.
It would be idiotic and quite frankly, irresponsible to attribute the success of this game to just one person. That's like saying Boxer has better kicks than Chun-Li, it just ain't true. We'd like to thank everyone who poured their heart and soul to reviving one of gaming's most beloved franchises. From the producer, Rey Jimenez, to the folks from Backbone and Udon, to the product development, business development and marketing teams at Capcom, HD Remix was a labor of love for everyone involved.
Last but not least, I want to give a big shout out to the hard core Street Fighter community (yes you Shoryuken, Unity, and Key Stoners) who kept this game relevant for the past 15 years and spread the word to the entire gaming industry that Street Fighter is still the "best around"!
With this title doing so well, it makes one wonder if Capcom will seriously consider releasing it on other platforms besides the XBox 360 and PS3...
SAN DIEGO, Dec. 18 -- Mad Catz Interactive, Inc., a leading third-party interactive entertainment accessory provider today confirmed plans to attend the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 8th through January 10th 2009. Mad Catz will be exhibiting in the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel, located next to the Convention Center in Suite No. 377.
Mad Catz expects to display its new range of licensed Street Fighter IV accessories. Expected to ship in conjunction with the hotly anticipated title in February 2009, the range has been designed in conjunction with Capcom and includes the FightStick: Tournament Edition for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, featuring genuine 'Sanwa' components used in the original arcade cabinets.
SFD: How did the collaboration begin with Capcom to use these tunes for the new Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix game?
SHAEL: So, Blood on the Asphalt was released in 2006, and then in 2007 I got an email from Rey Jimenez, an associate producer at Capcom, with “Blood on the Asphalt” in the subject field. He started the email with "Don't worry. This isn't a cease and desist," and went on to explain that Capcom enjoyed the album, and had been playing it in their booths at trade shows. Working under the assumption that Malcos (Stephen Malcom-Howell), who helped me direct the album, and I had done all of the music ourselves, Rey asked if we'd be willing to let them use it in HD Remix, and if we'd be willing to make some modifications in instances where they thought a track needed to be changed.
Will you be able to buy the Blu-ray version of the Street Fighter 4 anime separately?
Seth: There are currently no plans to release the SFIV Blu-Ray movie as a stand-alone. As it seems, it's designed to be an added feature for the Collector's Edition exclusively.
It could eventually be released as a stand-alone piece, I suppose, but even if that plan started today, it would be 6 months to a year before you'd be able to get it (and as I mentioned, those plans don't currently exist at all, so it may never happen).

Tell us about Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
Kreuk: It’s the origin story of Chun-Li, what happens in her childhood and through her young adult years that causes her to become the fighter that she is.
It’s kind of a spiritual journey in a lot of ways. A traditional kung-fu story where I’m very angry and going to go get revenge, but I find a master who teaches me to overcome my emotions so I can see the greater good, then become a stronger fighter because internally you have a greater strength.
Is there an estimated time of arrival for the Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix stats website?
Sven: There are some kinks being worked out and we don't have an idea how long it's going to take.
I'd like to give you a date but there's a few unknowns still getting fixed and literally 4 different parties working on the site (MS, Sony, Capcom, BBE and our marketing agency for SF).
It's a very complex project.
Does Capcom expect to be able to get a fix for the HD Remix rating/ranking bug?
Seth: We are evaluating the patch possibilities, so yes, we hope we're able to address it.
Is the release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom in the U.S. being held up because of licensing?
Sven: No. It's a combination of things of which licensing is just one issue.
I've got no new information on a TvC release for the West. We're still trying to get creative. I can't say anything beyond that.
Note that Christian says they're "trying to get creative," with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom's potential release in the U.S.A. It's been speculated this may mean an overhaul of the Tatsunoko lineup.
When asked if he thought Capcom would support the game post release with patches, David Sirlin replied: "It was very hard to get Puzzle Fighter patched at all. There's a lot of difficulty in patching console games. First of all you have to pay the console makers for each of these patches and second you have to do QA and bug testing on these patches. If you change one area of the game to fix a problem with it, as far as the publisher knows, they don't know you didn't make some mistake in some different part of the game, so they are pretty much obliged to do testing across the board.
"So all this testing and fees, they're all barriers to patching. I'm not saying anything bad about Capcom there. It doesn't matter who they are. For any console game there's just these barriers to patching. The question is, is the upside big enough to justify it? With Street Fighter I hope the answer is yes. I hope the answer is, definitely, we want to fix as much as we can and have this keep selling for many many many years. I'm of the opinion that they think that. That seems logical to me."
