Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Zero Raikousen mixups by CIaSSlc

Classic sent in a quick video showing some setups for Zero's Raikousen in MvC3. For those unfamiliar, Raikousen is Zero's teleport move where he summons a lightning bolt that can cross up the opponent. Teleport moves are very strong in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 so this is an important watch for Zero players.

Oni guide for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition uploaded

Oni guide for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition uploaded The guide to Oni, the final guide for the new characters coming to Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition, has been completed.

It contains information on all his special moves, Ultras and command normals. Oni is a pretty unique character that reminds me a bit of a cross between Sakura and Gouken. Regarding his new tools, I believe them to be good. However, his poor fireball really hampers his long-range poke game, so you'll have to get into range to harass people with his command normals.

Here's a piece from the intro.

Oni is a tool-based character with a large amount of options at his disposal to engage fighters. He has a great mixup game (especially when he has EX) along with a very confusing reset game. Oni can really command the pace of a match with his Demon Palm and Air Hadou Dash while controlling space with his command normals. Both of his Ultras are very useful and powerful which add another component to his great utility game.

Oni has very poor reversal options though with a dragon punch that can't be FADC'd on block. His backdash is also poor, traveling very little distance. Oni's long-range offense is weak with a sub-par fireball game that can be easily avoided or punished. Lastly, Oni really needs meter to do any sort of significant damage, making him very dependent on it.

It was completed to the best of my ability using match videos, developer blogs and the AE cabinet at University Pinball Arcade.

Capcom has terrific year financially, net income up 257%

Capcom has terrific year financially, net income up 257% Capcom announced in a press release this evening that they had one heck of a year financially, and set new records for net sales, operating income, ordinary income and net income, exceeding previous estimates.

While the dollars and cents here won't interest most fans of their fighting games, it's actually very good news as it means the company has been performing well and means more content coming down the pike in the future. Here are a few things of note from the release.

• Marvel vs. Capcom 3 sold 2 million units.

• Super Street Fighter IV shipped 1.6 million units.

• While the market conditions remained weak for arcade game machines, this business segment saw the video game machine "Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition" perform solidly.

What should fans make of this? Capcom isn't going away any time soon, and at a recent meeting they stated the future is bright for their fighting games.

With these kind of numbers backing them, expect to keep seeing Capcom creating more games in this genre.
