Capt. America vs. Wesker Marvel vs. Capcom 3 showdown

Capt. America vs. Wesker Marvel vs. Capcom 3 showdown The most recent Marvel vs. Capcom 3 showdown spotlight on Marvel.com focuses on Captain America and Wesker. Here's a blurb from Sumoslamman's write up.

Captain America's Play Style: Captain America knows how to take a hit, and hits back even harder. He has some great range on his crouching magic series and his launcher, assuring some nice aerial combos can be started from max distance. He also has a double jump, which lets him extend those air combos into something a little more substantial. His Hyper Charging Star eats projectiles, giving him a leg up on spammers and his Shield Slash projectile is dangerous for all of its active frames--if Cap doesn’t get hit. You need to worry about it on the way out as well as on the way back. And Final Justice? So awesome.

Wesker's Play Style: Wesker’s teleports make him incredibly dangerous, capable of zipping around the screen in the blink of an eye, and making it difficult to get a bead on him. Not only that, but he can utilize them to extend his combos, so they’re much more than just a mobility option. In the air he can combo into his Phantom Dance hyper for some added damage and if your opponent is getting a little too predictable his Rhino Charge counter hyper will make them pay. Wesker is all about speed and keeping the enemy off-balance and he has all the tools he needs to pull that off.

Reasoning behind Marvel vs. Capcom 3's alternate color schemes

Reasoning behind Marvel vs. Capcom 3's alternate color schemes If you'd like to know why certain color schemes were picked for Deadpool, Doctor Doom, Hulk, Shuma-Gorath, Super-Skrull, Taskmaster, Thor, X-23 and Sentinel, Marvel.com has an article right up your alley.

This is the final article in a three part series, which has covered Marvel's roster in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

I saw some rumors online before we announced the Sentinel that he’d be in the game and look like a more traditional Sentinel from the comics. The “in the game” part was right, the “traditional” part wasn’t. As the MvC pros out there know, he’s got quite the legacy looking like this in Marvel fighting games. With that in mind, changing it would be borderline blasphemy.

You can find past articles in this series here and here.

Famitsu review scores for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Kmart $25 credit offer

Famitsu review scores for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Kmart $25 credit offer The review numbers from Famitsu magazine's take on Marvel vs. Capcom 3 were posted by 1Up this afternoon.

- Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (8/8/8/9, 33 points): "I like the large variety to the characters," one reviewer began. "The system hasn't changed much; it's more of a natural evolution from MvC2 or Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Being able to work the characters just the way you want requires a lot of game time, but combos are generally easy to link together, and beginners can get a decent enough foothold with the simple control mode."

Another editor agreed that "there isn't a great deal novel here, but the game builds upon the Vs. series to make an overall great fighting package."

Also, sticking with the MvC3 theme, Kmart stores are offering 25,000 in Shop Your Way Rewards points, which translates into $25 USD back, when you purchase the game through Kmart. This offer runs from February 15-19, and you'll also score an 8” X 11” poster with the game, too.
