From day 1 they have been desperately trying to get the community to support the game, giving 25K for cross assault, running Esports exhibitions that were super boring, and now they are giving a sports car for the guy who wins this game. X Factor is a too important part of this game ATM to be ever taken away, I can see matches becoming more boring without it. Then Strider basically becomes a low tier piece of crap without X Factor, and that's bad news for the Strider army in FGTV. But low damage is a neat idea and hopefully next time they'll do a tourney with low damage and X Factor allowed.

@3 I think "death sentence" is exactly the point of the move to 2v2; At the time of NCR its numbers exceeded those of AE and people stupidly though that the game was going to replace AE as the "main" game of the FGC. Can someone explain to me why people put Deadpool below Storm? Both share the same major weakness of not doing enough damage and not building enough meter, but Storm does less damage and is a bigger meter hog. Her mobility is better than Deadpool but Deadpool has one of the best teleport in the game, much better zoning, better runaway AND better assists too.

Can someone explain to me why gems will make the game fun to watch? Never understood the mindset of gem defenders, gems isn't going to increase the damage output of the game when there's defense gems and neither is it going to solve the game's problems of stages being too long, standing jabs being too good etc.

The entire project was a vanity project that sounded good at first but becomes a nightmare to design when you realize how vastly different the gameplay of the 2 series were.
