just as Mr. Killian said, PW can be a beast of a character in the right hands and with good back up assists from his team mates. phoenix wright needs to be protected first during gameplay with good assists so he can power up after gathering his "evidences" so its really a run away and keep away game for him at first then when he is in power up mode he can basically kill you ...
