Skullgirls 2.0, Mike Z demos new patched version of the game, discusses changes
#4, #10 Yeah, it's great to see he hasn't stopped working on it and learning from what others are doing; all the changes seem really promising but I'm still excited for new characters because none of the existing characters really fit my playstyle; I like to turtle mid-screen and punish mistakes. I think the 'Like Q but not sucky' character he mentioned could be great for that, if it ever comes to be but for ...
Capcom is considering drastic changes to Street Fighter X Tekken, talks Darkstalkers and SF4
a) The whole concept of disk-locked content is completely counter-intuitive to providing your customers with a product. It cannot continue and I feel that anything paid for it thus far should be refunded and everything should be released, for free, whenever you see fit to do so. b) The timer is obviously an issue and any amount of play testing should have highlighted this (i.e. it looks like the game itself was poorly thought-out). It's ...
Skullgirls best selling game on Xbox Live Arcade today
It's $15, just get it despite the small cast. I know some people are going to have reservations about that but the depth of each of those characters and the dynamic of variable team size really does make up for it; you still have PLENTY of choice in how you want to play the game, despite the cast size. Plus, more coming!
Updated: Video review of Skullgirls and intro cinematic: IGN calls it the prettiest fighting game in years - says it lacks modes
I've found SFxT to be dull and poorly thought-out, the the DLC insult and the attitudes of capcom fans around it and other things... I don't even want to play any of their games anymore. This game looks like something I could really get into. If anyone's borderline or even anything other than a definite 'no', give the demo a whirl, come up with some combos, have a little fun and see how it goes. ...
Ars Technica: Porn site sponsorship causes split over fighting game community's self image
I feel that the FGC isn't growing; it's selling. The community, the people who make the scene what it is are the same as they've always been and now they're getting a spotlight with companies who want to manipulate it into a product and frankly, I hate that. IMO, it's supposed to be about having fun and the big paychecks eliminate that completely.
Ars Technica: Porn site sponsorship causes split over fighting game community's self image
#133 Damn good point; why remain anonymous if you're sure of what you're saying? All I can think is that people are against this because it's a porn company. Therefore, people are against porn. Being against porn is just flat-out stupid and tends to stem from religious nonsense (there is no god, you idiot). Therefore, the problem is with the people complaining, not the (potential) sponsorship deal.

Ars Technica: Porn site sponsorship causes split over fighting game community's self image
I completely agree with #20 and I think it will only hurt the community by way of dissent. The rift won't be created by any sponsorship, only people's (moronic) reactions to it, so screw those people. I view it like remaining neutral on chemically burning women's faces to avoid upsetting religious extremists. If someone's just plain wrong, even if their reaction may be harmful, remaining neutral is a morally incorrect position.
Update: Pornography company Brazzers in talks with Long Island Joe about potential sponsorships and tournaments
Right now, everyone reading this should believe one of two things; a) Anyone who doesn't mind teenagers watching porn will rape an 8 year old if left alone with them. b) NerfGuile is wrong. Incidentally, who the hell would let their 8 year old be alone with some 25 year old man they didn't know, anyway? 'Oh, I read his opinions on pornography on the internet and he was dead against it. Let's get him ...
Update: Pornography company Brazzers in talks with Long Island Joe about potential sponsorships and tournaments
Can you seriously not see the distinction between minors watching porn and minors watching porn with adults? This is a farce. I honestly don't think I even need to argue with you any more because you're just making yourself look foolish.
